Gail has always been drawn to art, but she didn’t take it seriously until later in life. After a move and a career change she taught herself to draw, then started watercolor classes at a local studio. Retirement brought her back to it for good, and she has been painting ever since. Landscapes are her favorite subject, especially the way watercolor catches light and weather. One year she challenged herself to paint a hundred small four-by-four-inch pieces, and that practice still shows in her work. She is also Ginger’s sister, and her handmade ring dishes and lavender hangers have a permanent spot on the boutique shelves.
